Why add a GS splash screen on apps that don't sell?

Don't get me wrong, I love that you made the software free and all. It was essential. Though you only lose users by having a forced splash screen on apps that don't sell anyways (No offense guiz but no 'masterpiece' has come out of this place yet ). Unless a hit app is developed using GS (which I'm not expecting at the moment judging by the restrictions) this market strategy is completely useless, and you will only lose users by having it. The splash screen almost gives a negative effect. When I make an app, I want it to feel personal, it doesn't with your splash screen all over my app. Almost makes me wanna go Corona..

And I think that my game is pretty successful in my opinion.
First on on the list.
Game salad has it limitations but is still very formidable to other game engines

See that there? That's you being an unbelievable (and ignorant!) douchebag. What kind of a twat puts a smiley emoticon at the end of such an insulting line? (*Spoiler: You, that's what kind of twat.)
There have been several successful apps come out of GameSalad; more than those listed above. Do you know how much FMG made with Grisly Manor? Do a forum search.
I use Corona; I love Corona - but I also have a soft spot for GameSalad. It's a great tool (much like yourself) and if you hate it enough to bitch this hard on your first day here I suggest you try another engine.
*If you love the software then take some time to learn about it. Learn about the success stories rather than cluelessly stating that there are none, then learn about magnitude. Whinging right off the bat and acting like an ass wont make people want to help you or take you seriously.

Maybe if you ask for help with a few more patronizing comments and smiles that could work? (c wut i did thar?)

also id rather spend 10 minutes using a longer workaround to a problem like pixel collision, than spending hours coding the whole thing
Gamesalad FTW.
On a serious note I'm trying to spend more time here again; I do like GS, I do hope to use it on some projects more suited to it in the future as well - but until then I still love the community.
PS - You never followed me back on Twitter and it broke my weak female heart. For shame.

I really liked Mario Galaxy 2 but that dang Nintendo logo at the front really turned me off, So I threw the game away. If anyone is reviewing a game like this they need to check themselves before the wreck themselves, and they should be ignored.
I'm growing tired of people complaining about the splash screen. Why are people so afraid of admitting that they don't know how to code? If you do know how to code and can't stand the GameSalad splash screen then by all means, be my guest and go code your game. As for me, I don't know how to code and GameSalad is helping me create games and it's a lot of fun.
First off, I just wanted to say that we're aware people's concerns with the splash screen and we're working on some ways to make everyone feel much better about it. To be honest, not sure where it's going to go or what the solution is going to be, but I'm sure a happy medium can be reached.
Also, on a very happy side note: Great to see you again, @peachpellen! You have been missed greatly. It's great to hear about the success you've had and it's just plain wonderful to see your posts again here on the forums.

Despite the fact that I am very much loving Corona, GameSalad will always remain near and dear to me - I do hope that I can use it for future projects, especially with all the great templates I'm seeing around here lately!
Above all else, the community here is very important to me - I got started making apps with GS and with the support of many here and I hope to be a fixture for a good time yet, even if only rarely creating my own GS projects.
Goodnight all
I have been here for 5 minutes more than you and already seen some amazing work, which is even more amazing when you know how restrictive the platform might be sometimes. Workarounds are part of the life, art and fun of making games.
