just wondering if I need to go professional to have my own name like utopia has it or what not.

Also where do I fill this out? I seen the gamesalad tutorial video with iTunes connect but j got a little lost.

Let's say I want my title and company names look like this in the AppStore:

Name of game
Name of company

Instead of:

Name of game
My first name and my last name.

Can someone tell me in what field to type this part in? I k ow iTunes connect asks me my name and stuff and name for apps. But I didn't see anything for company name. Or was that the "organization" part? Is that field where I would type my game making company/organization name? Thanks. Sorry if I'm not making sense. Haven't slept. Been working on my game lol.

You have to change your apple account to a business account. They will need documentation like a business license. to do that.

If you have not filled out you apple info yet then no you don't have to do the business account. I did mine DeMentid Apps just can't remember if I put it as seller name or publisher or something like that. But I'm registered as an individual.

Edit. Just checked my phone app store and company name shows my real name when looking at individual apps but shows DeMentid Apps when searching. Can't check mac though

Demented apps. A play of words with ur name. I like that. So in what field did you put "dementid apps" in when u filled out the form?

I may have put it in the seller field but not sure

Sorry 15 hours at work today. On my way home now. I'll dig deeper to see if I remember where I put what

Ok on my profile info it shows under company/organization as DeMentid Apps yet that contradicts what is showing on the iPhone app store that says company as my real name so now I'm really confused.

well when i searched for "dementid apps" i got all your apps, and on top it said "search results for demntid apps"
... but when i tap on it, it loads the app page for said tapped app, and it says ur name and then title name of the game.

maybe itunes connect adds whatever we put in the "organization" field as a tag???

Perhaps because I noticed if you search my real name nothing comes up.

There is an option in iTunesConnect to use your company name when you add the very first app using iTunes Connect. This option won't come if you already submitted your first app to App Store. The seller name must be your name which you used to sign up the iPhone Developer Program.

You can apply as an individual and next to seller type in your company name, however apple doesn't recommend it and they warn you on ITC too. Many people who aren't able to register as a company do this because they still want to be seen as a brand on the app store.

However, you will still have to type in your real name for taxes and all of that legal stuff, so they have your full name stored somewhere, and thats why your name is displayed when the app is clicked.

Yup, you have to pay taxes. And no, it is not included in the 30% that apple takes. Apple has nothing to do with taxes on your apps money, you have to deal with it all on your own.

Thats Income no matter what government you live under. Technically you sell a TV for Cash you are supposed to claim that as income too. No one ever does cause its not traceable but apple payments are traceable. Thats Why you want all of your expenses traceable as well. so can deduct them from your income.
