I'm starting to think all of iTunes listing are crap. How can I get listed in Whats Hot when my app has not had a sale in 5 day? Makes no freaking Sense. I mean my US stroe ranking is even gone below 1000 Do they just randomly throw apps into those sub categories or what?

Being featured in a sub category is almost close to nothing. How in the world will people see the feature? Its only shown on iTunes, and most people buy apps mainly on their iPhones or iPod touches. So only the main features of n&n and what's hot that shows up on devices will have a real affect on sales

Yes Debbie Downer I realize that. My question was, WTF? it makes no sense. The sub category features should still be based on some sort of ranking so how is this possible?

Don't get me wrong here guys, being featured in a sub category is still a good thing. At least your app is getting some sort of recognition from apple while many other apps are not. When I said it meant close to nothing I meant it doesn't affect sales too much, which seems to be the truth from my experience at least.

It's probably based on avarage download, not on single day download.
There are probably other automated scripts also involved. I wouldn't think much about it.

Assault Commando is always featured somewhere even with 10-20 downloads a day.

This is Galactic.Towers But I don't expect any increase I was New&Noteworthy for strategy games in UK over Holiday shut down and not a single sale from that. ArtonSkyblue is right that it doesn't usually help sales, It seemed pointless to give that response when that had nothing to do with my question.

@ArtonSkyblue - Sorry, It was prob a little rude to call you Debbie Downer.
