Saving game, game app closed, resume

Hello having a little trouble figuring out how to proceed, I have dabbled with saving scores to a score sheet via attributes... But how would i go about setting up a game so when app starts you can start a New game or Resume last... I would be saving a bunch attributes, the scene/level there on, ammo count, gold/currency, exp and level.

Could this all be setup to work after app is completely killed to have a resume feature at game start where you left off? and have another in-game to save and exit and or save periodically at new scene levels. Any tip or direction for anyone that has done something similar would great help

    having the player resume from the start of the last unfinished level is pretty easy, just have the resume button find the last completed level, and then start on the next one.

    trying to resume in the middle of a level would probably be possible, but would take a lot more work with saving attributes

    You mean just setting attribute for which level player is on right? since my works like areas they can move back and forth from like doors instead of levels that must be completed.

    I imagine the same would happen for all my other saving attributes at this time?

    Thought about this but not needed just going to have player always start were scene starts/ where he just used door to enter next area.
