edited November -1 in Working with GS (Mac)
i'm currently using 8.7. yes i know its old. but when you guy WERE using 8.7 did it mess up alot? and crash alot?

my freaking god dude, my shyt is crashing every 20 min. things stop working. its getting all f*cked up all the time. my attributes randomly stop working. WTF?!

again i know its an older versions but i'm sure it was pretty stable. i have a 2007 macmini and i'm sure thats not the problem. if i can edit videos and video effects with motion, i'm sure i can run a simple vg simulator. that thing is, it WORKS most of the time, but alot of times it freezes and crashes. omg as i'm typing this it crashed again!

pinga!

beachballin and all. making my mac run like windows, what the hell?! i REALLY hope 0.9 doesnt do this to me on my new macmini i'm getting in 3 weeks. any suggestions?

also it seems it slows down gradually. i have to restart every 30 mins sheesh

It slow downs gradually due to some leaks. It crash on 0.9 too, at least on me. Sometimes it seems like it doesn't check variables changes, but it seems to go along with the framerate, so try to polish it up and run it in viewer or device, not on the simulator because performance there are worse (at least on my mac book pro :P).

really? that makes no sense tho. wouldn't a computer be better since it has more ram and process power?

If the software is written well, yes. This is not the case. For now. They are fixing this though.

Yes there are slow down to crash issue in all versions of
GS. You should save often and as soon as you notice major slow downs dont risk it. just save and then close GS all the way and reopen.

    worth repeating!

save and Save As... a copy... often... doesn't take but seconds and wonderful to have a day old working copy to pull-up if things get messed.

most times the crashes happen because of my stupid code... or deletes... not GS's code.
