What's everyone working on?

There was a thread not to long ago on this but I can't seem to find it and I (and Im sure most people) are curious as to what everyone is working on. The forum has been a little slow lately and I am just curious as to what people are doing. It doesn't just have to be a game. Can be template, anything really. So post what you've been working hard at with just a comment, pictures(recommended to be watermarked), and videos. Thanks

I just updated The Unofficial GameSalad Textbook app with an index. It should be easier to find stuff. With GameSalad 0.9.1 on the way, I felt I should get an update ready.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking of what game to work on next. With Mac App Store support heading towards GameSalad, I've been thinking of a game that would be fun to play on a Mac or an iOS device. I realize that the greatest problem with my games is that they lack polish. After creating Critique - a cool app about cool apps - I realized what it takes to make it to the top of the iTunes App Store.

I'm also planning two Valentine's Day apps.

The last thread is here: http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=15201&page=2

We should expand on the older one because many have already shared some interesting games on there.

"0.9.1 on it's way"....... Is there a post about this anywhere, i.e. what's in the update? I searched for 0.9.1 but couldn't find anything

Also I must say the Unofficial textbook has been extremely useful

It's not just graphics, because I think Annoyed Tomatoes is a good looking game. I think it's the depth of the games.

My thinking was flawed. I was thinking - what's a 1.99¢ game worth? Yet, on the iTunes App Store, the players don't treat it like a candy bar or cup of coffee. They expect something that players would pay $20-$40 for on the Nintendo DS.

My games are too short. That's a hard challenge to surpass, considering that there are limitations with GameSalad. Also, keeping a game under 20 MB is tough.

My thinking - a game needs to be strong in every aspect to do well... marketing, graphics, physics, music, sound effects, story, presentation, fun... if the game is lacking in any area, then it really has to excel in the other areas.

So, with that in mind, I'm seriously contemplating a winner... a really good game... something that makes people think, "You made that with GameSalad?" ...or even better... "You made that?!"

I have no idea what that was about. HA HA. It was a funny and nice review, so I was happy when I saw it. Also, Critique is a free app. Considering that it was featured too, I thought it would get more reviews than that. There's even a banner in the app that reminds people to review.

I'm thinking that means people generally do not want a second edition of Critique.

I'm making a game similar to fantastic contraption but with more componants and different goals. I want to make a 2-player mode where you both make machines to fight.

    Coming along great so far!

I'm hoping to get my 1st 3 into the app store in the next week or so. They are a Air hockey and Ping Pong game with a twist, and a Ninja biker one. Like I said it's my 1st 3 and I did the art work myself so it's not all that professional looking right now lol. At least it looks like a ninja on a motorcycle :p. I know there are lots of versions of those but wanted to try a few normal ones and go thru the whole process before trying anything more challenging!!!

Project AIR is next for me which will hopefully be on the App store on February 17th.

I have to finish it first. Bugs to iron out, waiting for another art drop, and Menus.

    Bloody menus. So fiddly!

Oh, and add a week of bug testing to that too!

Once the current project is done, I'll be making iPad/Mac Store versions of stuff like Gravitrixx and Kraken.

    Probably.

    Nope!

With so many templates about, I'm scared to even show it to people lest that 1% of assholes on here copies the idea/look of the game before it's even released!

    Which is a shame, really!

You'll just have to be patient :)

Probably a good idea, QS. There have been WAY too many posts about apps getting stolen or templates uploaded with almost no changes. It's a shame that for all the good in this forum there will always be the Rod Hammonds of the Gamesalad community.
