iAds Questions

Whoa it's been a while since I've been on here, like 3 months or right after GS released 0.9. I've been tied down with my usual job but I've beent trying to merge GS in there somehow :)

I got a few questions about iads because I want to throw them in my free version of my iPad game which gets about 100 downloads a day. Not sure if I'll see any return but it's worth a try.

1) Why the F do I need to fill out the tax info again to get iads? It seems the same as the one for paid apps. I'm in Canada and it looks like I need to fill out the GST form yet again, anyone in Canada have to do this twice?

2) Once I'm approved and I drop the iAd behaviour on an actor (if that's how it's done?) Then what?

3) How is your iad username tied to GS's behavior for iads? I didn't see that anywhere.

Anyway thanks for helping, I hope to get cracking on finishing a new iphone game in the next couple months.

There is a separate contract for iAds.

You need to drop the Behavior in the scene and test it on the viewer. as long as the test ad shows up somewhere in the scene it will display correctly in the store build. If you do an adhoc build a test ad will show properly if it is working right.

You still need to be Pro to get iAds and then login trough the dashboard before opening your project. if your still not seeing the behavior you either are not pro or somethings wrong on GS end. and you need to email them. Once it's in your build though there will be nothing to do with GS from there apple knows its your ap its displaying on and will credit your account for it.

    Good Luck

Ah thanks Tendrmer, Yeah I'm Pro. I just wondered, would ads show up in Preview even if you're not signed up for them yet via Apple?
