Display Text Issues

I'm having a couple of major issues with the Display Text functionality -
I'm using the Baskerville font and its display is inconsistent. One string will always be crisp and clear 100 percent of the time, but then a different string will be blurry 100 percent of the time. This problem is exaggerated when testing an iPhone game on the iPad. I'm not sure exactly what properties cause the blurriness... it almost seems random.
A second problem is that whenever a text string is over 150 characters, it displays as a giant white box on older devices (like an original iPhone), even though it displays fine on my 3G.
Keep in mind, these are both issues that appear by changing a variable that the same actor with Display Text is using.
I tried to work around these issues by displaying three separate text variables and using \n to space them out properly. That probably solves the second problem, but it makes all three lines different levels of blurry. This seems to affect all fonts that I've tried.
