Scenes becoming corrupted - why!?

Has anyone else found this problem? At first I though it was my mistake, but after a while I realised that the move/change velocity attributes had stopped working as they should.

As my game increases in size and complexity scenes are becoming corrupted. An actor will stop moving when it has been moving correctly before (using move or change velocity attributes).

If a duplicate actor from the actors library is dragged on to the scene it will also not move.

When I create a new actor and give it a move/change velocity attribute, it will not move.

(Yes, the moveable box is ticked in the physics tab)

It seems to happen after I highlight certain actors in the scene and then delete them by using the delete key on the keyboard.

Can I repair my scenes to make move/change velocity work again?

I'm using GS 0.9, snow leopard 10.6.6, 2009 13" macbook

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
