How does everyone make those actors that don't have to be squares? When I make irregularly shaped actors, the background of the image stays with it unlike the actors I've seen in everyone else's games. In short: How do I get rid of the background of oddly shaped actors?

do you put a png image in them, or are you trying to make a circle.

well, in a sense, all actors are really squares, but if you have an image in it, it would make certain parts of it transparent, but it still collides like a square, unless you checked it as a circle.

I know, but how do I set the background of the image as transparent?

I would use Pixen, which is the easiest program to use in my opinion, and it's free
Open up your image in pixen, click on the "Magic wand" looking tool, select the background and hit delete, and that should do the trick

To check if your background is transparent, you can use one of the default backgrounds that is either grey and white checkers, or grey and white slashes.. I think default is one of those

If that replaces your background in your image, then it worked!

    Hope this helps
