smooth drag

does anyone know how i can drag my actor up and down smoothly?
When i just do:

'when touch is pressed
set x to mouse position'

it snaps to wherever the mouse is.

try when touch is pressed interpolate self position x to touch 1 x and self position y to touch 1 y. that should be smoother

so i was trying to figure this out and don't ask but i managed to turn it into a strobe light
