Unfinished project for FREE!!! (Balls & Bugs)

I started a project two months ago and let it unfinished as I've realised that there are too many similar apps on the App Store and some of them are really good and I don't think I can compete with them.

So.. after days of crying for my lost time I think I can make it useful anyway. I've decided to make it available FOR FREE as I'm not a pro GS designer (yet) and it won't receive any more updates.

You can reuse anything without any cost or agreement but beware, I don't know if the actual music has copyright so use it for a final product at your own risk.

Here's the link and the list of features for you all to enjoy, please let me know if it has been useful for someone, I really want to know.

Features:
--------------
Accelerometer movement based on speed (bug) or acceleration (balls).
Hurry Up management (complete a level in less than one minute or balls will accelerate and make your mission almost impossible).
Level restart (there's a known bug at level changing, it doesn't set right the amount of balls).
Original graphics.
Variance of bug speed on different surfaces.
Holes to make balls disappear and appear on another random hole.
And maybe something I'm missing...

If you find it useful, please consider making a Paypal donation to [dunkelgeist AT gmail DOT com].

Either making a donation or not, if someone has any question about how things are done, feel free to ask at the same mail account, I'll be answering as soon as I can.

Enjoy the free stuff!

There will always be better games than yours, (and mine). I would stick with it, this game is too good to let go.

I always have a few games on the go. You get sick to death looking at the same thing all the time, then want to move onto something fresh. I think this is normal. Put it on ice, after a while you can come back to it with renewed vigour!!

I think you're right about the 'Benny Hill' background music though.

Well THANK YOU! I also believe that it's fun but take a look at this...

I don't want to be blamed as a cloner even if my only game on the App Store (The Knife Club) it's very similar to others but I think it's better and adds a little twist to the mix, so I'm updating it soon.

Meanwhile I've come across a fresh new idea that no one seems to have done in the way I want it so I'll try to do it as great as I can.

Look this game I'm offering to the community pretended to be a sequel of a game I made when I was 10 years old (now I'm 27) and was called Balls Against Bugs. All my friends remember it as the first game they were able to enjoy and decide how was going to be.

It's my little treasure and my very first original idea and it makes me happy to offer it to everyone else.

I'm not letting it go. After an update for The Knife Club and a new release on the App Store I'll try to rebuild it from the ground up, graphics, level design, etc... I know I can do it much better and I will so it can be side by side with other similar games.

I'll try not to deceive you ;-)

It's a shame you couldn't finish it, seem like a pretty decent game. The game theme and title make it feel uncomplete and uninspired in some way, but the game itself looks fun enough and almost done.

This should be called something like ladybug pool, and make the bug roll and act more like a ball, be able to push some types of ball, add obstacles and maybe even shoot it as if you were playing pool, then it might turn into a bit more unique game :)

Hopefully someone will pick this off and finish it. Good luck with your future games, and don't worry too much about the competition. It's hard to compete as a one man studio when it comes to polishing, but you can still end up with a fun game.
