Hey. I noticed that when I quit the game with the power button on my iPod, then open it up again, the game starts up from where it left off, not from the very beginning. How can I make sure that when the power button is pressed, and the game exits, it start up with the main menu when opened again, not the middle of a space battle?

the new iOS just keeps apps running when you leave them.

So best to add a quit button or something in your app?

Yeah I did add a quit button. But still, I wanted to know anyway. Thanks.

If your talking about the home button then there is nothing you can do right now with GS multitasking keeps it open. the user has to manually close the app. it will close if the phone is rebooted or an update is applied but for the most part it will stay running.

Does time continue to count when in background? If that you can play with inactivity time or something like that to inmediately pause your game when it's reopened. It's something I've got to test for my own projects too.

Just a wild thought but would putting a timer behavior in that resets a 5 minute (or whatever length) countdown after any touch is pressed if it counts down to 0 then a reset game? Not sure if that is even possible.

But are the end users going to want to start a new game every time they close it? sometimes you get a call (I know it is a phone after all) or text and then you want to resume where you were.
