Few questions about the iPad version of the game

Hello,
Excuse me that I made a new topic :)
I have few questions, about making an iPad game from iPhone game:
1. Could you please recommend me any good software for changing the images sizes without (or with very small) quality lost?
2. How big the images should be for iPad? Do I have to simply make every image bigger 2 times? What about small images (like interface buttons)?
3. Do I need to change anything more (I'm still talking about the images), for example: dpi?
4. And in the project file, do I have to ONLY change sizes of all scenes and actors, or maybe something more, for example: positions?
5. Do I need to do anything more?

Thank you very much!

For an iPad game I just create a new project 1024x768 on Fireworks, and then I create the actor images in the size that they will be shown on the game...

Then later, if want to make an iphone version for my game, I use the same images, and just resize the actors on gamesalad.
Please, download Save Cubes, for iPhone, and iPad....
