Hi guys. Just wondering what are the top features everyone would like to see? For me, the ability to be able to integrate video would be awesome, a save feature is a must for creating games, i'd like to be able to have the game save your highscore and i would like to see url forwarding on the express. I know its available in pro but there is a huge difference in cost there, i would just like to be able to add my email and say 'feedback email: feedback@blahblahblah.com' and when they click on it, it simply opens up in email. Seems a rather expensive upgrade just to be able to use that feature. What i will say though is GS is simply awesome, the developers deserve soo much credit, it has opened up a whole new fun world for people who nothing about coding like me. Thanks

The save is a big one a lot of people have asked for. I want some form of data (be it a database, array or something) that can be read/accessed as well.

    I second auric's post

For me, I would like to see "parenting" and "folders" integrated. And since I'm begging, some more primitives for collision shapes. Like a torus, tube, etc. Nevertheless, GS Rocks!

Oh yeah, ability to scrub animation!!

yeh a database type thing would be good, i feel the powers of GS can be utilised for other apps, not just games, just needs to be opened up a bit more

It was just mentioned in chat but there should be a way to export a group/rule to XML so it can be imported into another game (since copy and paste already works). Would be huge for the community to be able to share that kind of code.

Let me start by saying that GS is really a powerful tool in the right hands. I think I am smart but let me tell you - the guys who came up with the GS idea are brilliant. It is not for me to say but I think the GS people should be careful not to typecast this as a wizard for non-programmers or amateurs wanting to create games. It has the potential to do much more, without becoming complicated. In future I think GS will be used by professionals to create all sorts of software, not limited to games.

My wish list (as it stands now) is borne more out of excitement than frustration. The things that I can think of right now are:

    1. Persistent memory
    2. The ability for one actor to access or modify the attributes of another
    3. A collision intensity attribute. Currently an actor can detect when it collides with another but it only knows its own speed. There is no easy way to determine the intensity of an impact.
    4. Vector- in stead of point-based collision detection. The current algorithm allows a fast actor to travel clean through another, whereas they collide at slower speeds.
    5. A better way of selecting and manipulating actors on the screen. The thick lined, inward facing controls only work for large actors and people with lots of patience. My wish list includes the selection of multiple actors for sizing, deletion, moving, rotation, copying, etc. Corel has a brilliant way of doing this (hint). One should also be able to delete actors directly off the screen.
    6. A zoom function. My nose leaves marks on the screen when I try to manouvre small actors around.
    7. Polygon collision shapes
    8. Better text handling (paragraphs etc, for rules and other text pages)
    9. Ragdoll abilities and all the rest

Al in all, I am pretty impressed with GS and I am willing to spend time and effort to grow with it.

There are a lot of good feature suggestions here.

    I'd like to add:
    1) Show/Hide for scene layers
    2) Lock/Unlock for scene layers
    3) Ability to select multiple actors/layers in layer tab
    4) Ability to select multiple actors in scene

EDIT: I guess these aren't really features but more just for usability.

I'd like to be able to add custom fonts instead of having to save them as images so I could display things such as the score in something other than the basic fonts.

Ooh yeh the lack of fonts is a pain, would be good to be able t draw up on any fonts you have installed

pixel position number that tells what the position of the actor or mouse is when in the creator.

A lot of great suggestions - I'm looking forward to more improvements as the updates come out.
As for ktfright comments - I was having a problem with positioning too - but I download a free ruler (http://www.pascal.com/software/freeruler/) to overlay it across the creator. I hope that will help until they add a ruler.

Well done Todd that is a great find. Some cracking suggestions here lads, keep them rolling in, its only gonna help the developers. Im loving all the updates and seeing the new features being introduced, especially seeing how this is still beta, wonder when they're gonna say thats it, its no longer beta

How about the ability to publish an app. I've been a member since Saturday and have not been able to get a app downloaded to my device. Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday a GS issue. Then the 6.1 update that caused a problem, then a 6.2 update that currently does not work. It's not worked 70% of the time since I've been a member.

It's now Wednesday morning, and it still does not work. Todays error "Code Signing".

    Great product poor execution.

Everything had been fine up until the .6.1 update came out, it's a new product in beta, things are not always going to work. I've been a member for about 4 or 5 weeks now, and only started having problems this weekend.

    it's just been bad timing.

There are two things I really really want. the URL field to be an expression editor so we can pass in variables, and the ability to save attributes from one session to the next.

Better layer control. Like being able to lock or hide would be my 2 biggest ones.
