HI all,

I have been asked to create a game for a client like one he has seen on the app store. This lead me to think about this in more detail, how many platform games look the same, card games or puzzles?. If some asked you to copy a game but change all graphics how far would you go? what is expectable?

1. New name
2. All new graphics.
3. New Sounds.

If all this was done but the goal or concept was the same what would you do?.

Just wanted to spark a debate..

Thanks for posting this, I had similar question. I want to take a concept of Labyrinth game and redo it with different graphics and levels.

I guess if someone copied my game and made it better then hats of to them, if it was not as good then I'd hope mine would sell better.

Good point about levels, I guess it all depends on the game, e.g. Chess draughts backgammon can't be so different. Pinball games may look silimiar and platform games can have a similiar feel.

    Great comments :)
