Hi, Im fairly new to game salad and need a little help if possible. What I need is a bouncy ball to hit the floor and side walls going side to side..

Adjusting the bounce and left/right speed in game salad, (As different balls will have different speeds.

Thanks If you can help out, coz I have a really cool idea for a game thanks again.

Jack.

So like a bouncy ball that goes left and right, hitting on the side walls, easier :-)

    Hi Jack

What you need to do is have the 2 actors - Ball and Wall

Put a rule in the ball to collide with the wall.

Now in each actor (Ball and Wall), on the left menu is the physics properties. You will need to have a play on both with the 'restituion'. Setting it at 0 on both will mean no bounce and setting the value at 1 on both will make it super bouncy. Have a play on both with the decimals in between 0 and 1 and see what feels right for you :)

    Hope that helps.

    Cheers

    Yer, Thats good, Thanks,

So, now i need it to go left to right?

hitting the walls with restitution on like 0.5, (gotta tinker withit)

So when the game starts the ball starting moving right, hits the floor bounces that hits the wall and travels the other way.

I can use accelerate down to for gravity, (just on the ball)

but moving left and right, changing direction with hitting on wall ?

    mmmm

Hey, don't give up so easily. :)

You'll find that quite a few of the ideas that you'll come up with have been done in some capacity. If you run into something like that, take a look at how the game is doing and see if there isn't something that you can do to expand on the theme to make it your own. There are tons of clones out there.

Good luck and welcome to GameSalad!

What I should to is think of a game make sure I can do it all before I start.

    Thanks,
