Gears and pegs

Hi all,

I am working on a game that lets you select 1 of 9 different gears (sizes) and drag and drop on to a number of pegs on the screen. You can select any gear and place it on any peg but I need it to snap to the peg and not fit if it overlaps with another one.

I think I am ok with the collision of gears but does anyone know about snapping to multiple points?

    if you open New+ in GS and search 'grid'. There are four template that come up that you can double click to open and edit. Three of them have a variation of snapping to a grid. I would assume you would make the grid invisible but the pegs would be at the center of each or some of the grid blocks and thus it would look like the actor is snapping onto the peg.

    Am i missing something or are the 4 examples of other that have been copied, they don't seem to have what you say inside then :(

    is one of them "Basic Select and Drop Grid Demo"? and I think you need to double click the image with that project .. don't select it and click the 'edit in Gamesalad creator' button as for some reason that doesn't open that file.
