I dont really see this having anything thats different then darrens platofrmer, and theres a free basic mario type template up as well. i dont think you guys are really grasping the concept of selling templates. It shouldnt be something esay or a free template with your own graphics, or part of another template. It should be something original, not done in gamesalad yet, have a ton of original behaviors and features, or something alot of people are requesting. i think alot of people are starting to think after darenns success they can basicall " get rich quick"

I hope i didnt offend you at all, just stating the truth.

What Ive notice about GS is that getting basic gameplay to work is usually pretty simple, but getting the controls & characters gameplay to really feel like a professional game is whats time consuming. So I think if templates had the kind of controls you might have in a Super Nintento game, that would be pretty nice, but beyond that I agree with John, that the free templates show you the basic logic behind different game styles pretty good.

Back to the Demo v.s Template issue. A demo is something you create that shows basic behavior or a specific task. A template is something that has multiple feature and is basically ready for level layout and art. For instance Darrens Platformer template come with all elements and behaviors built in. All you need to do is place the elements in your own level layouts, Add art and probably a menu, level select, credit/info screen. a demo of a guy moving back and forth jumping up and down is a something that should be free as a way to help others.

    So to recap
Template = Ready for art and level layouts
Demo = basic behaviors, not a full working game
