Looking For Job (No Pay!)

I have recently gotten Gamesalad, and I think its quite great, but me being young I find it a bit of a bore trying to work out the mechanics and watch all of the tutorials.
However, I am greatly interested in creating pixel art for others who have the patience and the time to create some of the fine games in here.
I have gotten Pixen recently, and I've been wanting to have a few goes at making something for a game, without me actually having to learn all of the things to make a game.
Is there anyone who would be interested in a relatively new and free pixel artist?

Do you have any samples of your artwork to show everyone? I personally am not looking for an artist, but love pixel art, can you show us some samples?

I do not currently have a website (nor do I want to create one ATM).
I have uploaded some things to my Photobucket though:

    What do you think?

Not bad.. I work with a couple of guys who do most of the art for our games and apps, and they recently took up developing their own games on Gamesalad because it's so easy to do.

I think you should really give it a second chance. You don't even have to start games from scratch.. Just use a template you like and change the graphics. That's all I did for my first app, and I ended up learning a lot and adding a ton of "complicated" stuff to the existing Space Rocks template.

    Thanks,

I had taken looks at the templates, but the games came off a little on the "needs some help" side.
But after all they are templates, maybe a few tweaks will up the fun factor :)

Not bad considering you'll work for free, but you should definitely practice and improve. Check out the Pixelation forums if you haven't already. The guys there are extremely helpful and talented, some have worked for Gameloft, Glu mobile, etc.

I need about 100 different colored frisbees all 10x10 px as well as misc ground (both brown and shades of green) at the iphone screen size, a disc golf basket at maybe 25x25 px and 40x40 px and some trees, bushes, and water all in the visual style of the flight control game, if the project takes off and makes a few bucks, we'd kick you in for some, but no guarantees other than a game credit at this point.

Do you want those as a Birds-eye sorta thing? Like a Top-Down style?

    Also...
    A hundred?
and where should I send them to when I'm finished?

and ATM, all I'm looking for is some fame, some extra cash would be a nice bonus though ;)

Overall, I'd suggest you send me an e-mail (available on my profile page) telling EXACTLY what you need.

Surely one frisbee coloured white will do. You can then change the colour in GS.

Will save a lot of effort on the artist and a lot of memory from whoever's writing the thing! :)

The problem with that is that is that, since the frisbee is a circle, the unused space in the corners changes color as well as the frisbee.

Unless there's something I'm completely missing.

I'll look into the Pixelation place

Do a google search for Pixen and use .png files.

I've noticed a few people's graphics have the surrounding area around an object be a solid colour, much as you've described.

There's no need for it! It literally takes seconds to remove in Pixen!

As I said in the OP i use Pixen XD
I've also been using .png files, but I'm not sure on how to remove the translucent areas....

use the magic wand on the areas you want to remove!

(it's the third tool on the right, below Zoom and above Move).
