I reckon if you throw out a rough game idea, we'll all happily chip in to build on a game idea...
E.g. you say a game with cheese and mice.
I say a simple puzzle game, where ever you touch on the screen the mouse runs to your finger in straight lines, but your only allowed a limited number of moves per level. You have to navigate the mouse back to his hole in the wall on each level and get bonus points if you collect all the cheese without being caught in a trap. But as soon as you collect a cheese a trap door starts to drop over the mouse door so you have to get back to the hole quickly...
You could call it errr.... 'Mouse Trap' but I reckon that name is probably already gone... :-)
Now what sort of game would you like to make?
I'd like to point out that ideas are generally the easy bit, and most people you speak to and tell them you make iphone games will annoyingly come up with their own idea in 10 seconds and say they want you to make it and go 50/50 on the profits.
Ideas are easy, actually being commited enough to finish a game is the tricky part...
I agree with you stormystudio ... I get offered a 50/50 split all the time. I finally found an answer that I am happy with. I explain the $99 development fee that Apple charges, and ask them to submit their idea on a $50 bill to cover half the cost of the fee...
Haven't yet had a taker. And they were so sure of their idea...
yeah, $50, numerous meetings about the idea, hours of planning, go halves on any art work and music you need to pay for and put in half the total hours work then a deal could be made.
