Can GS do this?

Hey guys,

im building a 2d side scroller...everything is done in flash..

I was wondering whether this kind of shooter is possible in GS? We have proper animated characters in vector form, and we've completed some character sprites...was just wondering whether this game would be possible to be designed in GS.... I understand one needs to export the animation sequences into PNG sequences..but im just wondering.

    it is possible , but it will require a lot of work , basically you can make almost any 2D game with game salad ,
    and with the right effects , you can imitate depth .

    Well, if thats the case...im really happy! Im just slightly worried about cutscenes....do you think exporting a cutscene of that size into a png sequence would hinder the performance of the game?

    you should not make a video from PNG sequence , i think its better if you will make several actors with individual graphics and move them in the scene to imitate a "movie" , or even just take a few solid frames (4-5) , and just run them 1 per 2 seconds (10 seconds cut scene) , with some sound effects you can make it look nice!

    id have to say probably the hardest 2d games to make with gamesalad is towerdefense, but its all dueable. even some 3d like games can be made in gamesalad.
