Just wanted to let you all know that I will have a template ready to go later today (or tomorrow at the latest).

The template shows you how to make a game much like "Volcanic Airways". I.E dodge stuff coming at you or you will slow down and get caught by a thing that eventually kills you :o)

I have included some graphics and sounds, and given it a space setting.

the template shows you :

An "infinite" type of game using a small scene size and moving objects to simulate a never ending scrolling level
A parallax scrolling technique using a layered moving background (simple cheat parallax)
Touch controls, with rotation towards the touch, with the speed affected if you turn too sharply
3 Different sizes of rock to avoid, and a spacial anomaly chasing you
Scoring using a timer, hi-score setting, and saving/loading
Giving your player actor energy, and having that energy taken away
How to show a loading graphic between scenes
Using scene layers for one actor to control another (moving the loading graphic onscreen when you hit a button)
Playing music on a scene, but not on another

A lot of the stuff above can be used to do different things once you know the principles.

I wanted the template to hopefully give people some grounding in certain things that I see cropping up on the forums again and again.

Aaaaanyways. More info once it's ready for release, and a link to buy it in the marketplace etc etc.
