Due to lack of exposure for our latest tools (marketplace is too hidden and becoming a mess) we have decided to move all our tools and templates and videos to a new site.

The site will be announced soon...

Thanks for your support.

Darren.

    Whew!

When I initially read your subject I took it that you were moving away from the product, not the website.

    Right?

I think they need to make nothing display on the main page, that will drive people to the sub forums and be able to find that stuff

It would be nice to see the forums updated in such a way that they work more like the vast majority of other well used forums out there, something akin to polycounts forums, with categories and stickies in each subsection, or even better http://forums.cgsociety.org/ with news / articles of interest being posted as thumbnails at the top of the front page ( and maybe thumbnail news / articles linked from each section posted within each subsection page ).

And 'more' dev. team input, not just the equivalent of 'high fives' and answering stuff most ppl already know the answer to, would be nice to see the devs helping out a lot more rather than letting the community take care of their own... hmmm..

Yeah, gotta agree (and I'm as guilty of this as anyone), it's far too easy just to look at the latest posts section on the front page than to actually go reading the forum as you would pretty much every other forum in the world!

    I agree.

The forum needs better forum software. (phpBB anyone?)

If GS goes phpBB, we can actually PM serious bugs instead of posting the "serious bugs" for all to see.

GS Also needs to create a "Marketplace" page via WordPress so they can post "hot tools" (like the Project Merger, etc) on that page.

    Just my 2 cents!
