So is this they can order it and receive it on the 10th or users will be running verizon iphones by the end of the week?

I wonder if Apple will be doing anything different on the App Store when the new Verizon customers hit. Do they have an idea of the volume of new customers? Will they promote the proven app veterans on the App Store... like Doodle Jump and the like that new customers may not be aware of? It will be interesting to see what happens.

Yes, current Verizon customers can pre-order and receive on the 10th. Those who aren't current Verizon customers cannot pre-order and must wait until the 10th before they can order/purchase from Verizon. It's basically just giving current customers a small head start to ensure they get one on launch day if demand is greater than supply, and gives Verizon an idea of how many they should expect to sell.
