Hello everyone. New to GS, downloaded about a week ago. Lifelong gamer, since the days of Pong. I have always wanted to make games since I got my first Atari 2600, but programming has always been something I find difficult to grasp. My education is in Multimedia/Web Design, and I've worked at an Ad Agency as a audio/video editor, graphic artist, music composition, and making interactive media for clients (Flash, Director). Have been making web sites for 10 years, and I still have problems with HTML and CSS to this day. I suck at programming any type of code, still. I even took Director classes for 2 years, trying to learn all the in's and out's of Lingo, but now all I can remember are the basics. My ignorance of coding has prevented me from ever seriously pursuing making any kind of game.
Now I get turned on to GameSalad, and I love how easy it is. I can finally make games. I've been reading the forums, watching tshirtbooth and others tutorials, and looking at all the games that are being made, and the potential is impressive. I've been using GS for a week now, and I already have the core operations of a 10 level game made. Need to implement some type of scoring system, and fine tune some graphics. I'm also already making sound effects and recording music to go with it. The only problem I have is knowing when I need to make a custom attribute, and what kind it needs to be, and how to make full use of the expression editor. I'm sure it will come with time.
Looking forward to getting to know all of you, and see what ideas everyone can bring to life.
