whats a template for?

hi guys i have another question is about templates, iam new to this site and iam still waiting for my mac to come to learn using this software, and i being reading a lot of post to understand how this work and one think iam not sure is about the templates, i see some people put for sale this, but what it is? is it the full game or it only show you how to do some stuffs, so all you got it do is chage the images?

    Bingo. Most templates give you some kind of art to show how good it CAN look and they allow you to use the art. They aren't full games USUALLY but they are like one level or part of a game to show you how to operate all of the things.

    If you are buying a template is should include most of what you need to finish a game all setup. You should just have to layout the levels and set where you want the enemies or puzzle pieces setup and all of that. The main rules and behaviors are already in place. While some templates do include art it is only intended to let you see what can be done. you should never publish a template as is. It is simply to cut several weeks if not months of your development time.
