Just curious -
If you are making a game with lets say 50 levels do you guys actually create 50 scenes?
Or maybe 10 levels in one scene with a scene size of 4800 x 3200 (landscape-iphone)
Or maybe even just a few scenes and just a lot of rules in actors to know which scene they need to do what in..

thx

I've thought about trying that It would be awesome on load times to just switch camera positions. I'm not positive but i'm pretty sure a scene size of 4800X3200 would be more like 100 scenes. :P

Unless you want to recycle actors and move them to the new positions for each level. But that would be a pain for 100 levels unless your game is super simple.

My latest game is entirely 1 scene. Sorry to repeat as I mentioned this on another thread. This is only 8 different scenes though. Obivously no activity goes on in the others while the camera is on one, this is controlled by a few attributes. See below. Advantage being zero loading time. I created a fade to black for the transition between each.

You Could prob get away with that for 10 scenes but if you had 100 otherwise rules in each actor man you would destroy your actors performance just as bad.

@tshirt. I saw you say somewhere to not put 100 actors in a scene like even a level select scene. So how does that not apply to your level select template that has I think 96 actors across three pages in the same scene? I've been meaning to ask you about that since I saw you post about not having that many actors.
