and seriously if a resize doesn't work (using Darren and Waynes tool) perfectly afterwards and needs you to go through 10s or 100s of unlocked actors in scenes that have no notes with them changing all relative sizes and positions. When you have no idea what operations some of those things are performing. You're gonna do that for $10? and pick over the game to find occurances of non-stretched graphics that will need manual resizing as well?

    I'm a little skeptical.

Darrens tool does this by itself It even has an function that attempts to recalculate the expressions for the different functions you have setup.

I'm not sure this is very ethical man. No offense but lately it seems like you have shifted from making games to making a buck anywhere you can at the expense of the forum members. I honestly cant believe you haven't setup another GS market website like several others on here.

for me personally I would ask that you withdraw this offer.

We all know that unless Darren and Wayne can get sufficient sales goals they may stop creating the next great thing (and right now they are the only ones making game development with GS easier/quicker/better with external tools).

So although it isn't likely illegal to offer that service (though I haven't read any of the fine print on their software) ... it is certainly in bad taste. So please remove the offer and we'll forget it happened.

No I'm not happy with this because it just seems wrong...

As Stu pointed out some games will have a huge amount of work to do for the $10 so you obviously haven't thought about that.

    Darren.

im sorry darren, i didnt mean to cause this as i thought it will help people.

i even emailed you , but no reply concerning this.

I am willing to go through each actor, the main reason for the $10 was that i would save people time by doing it for them.

Do what you want...I can't stop you.

    It's bad taste imo.

Really? hundreds of them that are unlocked? I have one game that I ran through the resizer and it looks to need about 3 full days worth of reworking before it would be done. It has fixed sized graphics all over it and all positions are relative to other unlocked actors and some to the scene. Spread over 50 scenes. You would do about 25 hours work for $10?

(Just to say on all my other projects the resizer tool worked superbly and it is wonderful :-), highly recommend you buy it for yourself and not use this kids 'service')

Believe it or not, I just like making people happy so as long as i can do it, i will work hard, very hard to get the job done!

No darren please remove or close this because i thought everyone would be happy and excited that i would do this to there game. I guess i was wrong.

THE LAST THING I WANT TO DO IS MAKE PEOPLE UNHAPPY.

Darren I'm not sure if you put any wording into your program against this but you may want to NOW! I understand in a sense it's like telling buyers of GS not to make apps or templates for others but to me your program is the act of the service you created. Perhaps offer the conversion service minus the fine tuning because personally I wouldn't trust my app with just anyone.

One of the main reasons we didn't offer a service like this with the resizer tool was trust...would i send Bumps or RW to someone to resize?

I'm not sure many will let you have there full game because what's stopping you from making a quick art/music change and publishing yourself?

Of course I wouldn't of done that but whats stopping others doing it?

I think your crazy to had code to people you don't know.

    Darren.

Darren that's true u made a good point there ,

Yeh Darren maybe add something to your software licensing that says that the software is to be used personally and not commercially by offering paid services using your tool. I see what you were trying to do Eminem, I just think you should go concentrate on making a great game, put the hours that potentially you would of done for the $10 dollars into an awesome game that could climb the charts and earn you meeelions! ;)

OMG I just spat my tea out! seriously I did I cant believe what I have just read! This is getting out of hand. Darren and Wayne work extremely hard on their software I know because I Skype with Darren regularly and this is something that we said might happen but Darren being Darren see's the best in people and loves the GS community and as such sold the software the way he did. We do not have a commercial licence use the software as intended you don't have to be a genius to know that this is wrong and upsetting.

@ Eminem I believe that you didn't mean to rip anyone off but making this offer will do, please withdraw it.

There are right ways and wrong ways to help out the community, what you have planned is the wrong way. I can see that yes, you are trying to help by offering this service, but you are using Darren's resizer tool which himself and his team have put a tremendous amount of effort and money into creating the software that was already designed to help us. I purchased his tool for full price today, well worth every cent!

What you are doing is taking away any potential sales of his software, if no one was buying his software, why would he bother to help create future tools for us to use. Think in perspective.

Also, on your behalf, $10 to resize an entire project, including all fixings? You'd be overworking and being underpaid.

I do withdraw it. And i am extremely sorry cause all i wanted to do was help people
