Hey guys,

I am having trouble getting the Game Salad Viewer on my iPhone.

I've successfully opened the GameSalad viewer in Xcode and I have edited the info.plist to include my bundle identifier. I have also edited my code sign to my developer certificate.

However, when I try to "build and run" I get the following error:
'There is no SDK with the name or path 'iphoneos4.1'

Any idea how to fix this?

Also, my iPod is currently installing the "team provisioning profile" and has been doing so for more than a half hour. Is this normal?

Any help is greatly appreciated. My game is pretty much done and I really want to test it on my iPod, Thanks!

    Hi RushDawg,
I remember that installing the gs viewer was a little bit of a battle back when I did it so ... maybe? i can help a bit.

Can you update your device (iPhone) to the latest OS version

Then, in xCode look for that line that states the version and simply change it to what you have.
I remember doing that and it worked.
I also assume that you have the youtube video that covers how to do this? It's by "tshirtbooth" (but I don't have a link handy)

Let us know at what point you errors?

    Good luck :)

Thanks Xylo. I've watched Tshirtbooth's amazing YouTube video and it's gotten me this far.

I have set the SDK to the correct version.

Now when I build and run I get the error message "no provisioned device is connected" even though my iPod is physically connected to my mac.

    Any suggestions?

I am wondering if it is because of the team provisioning profile?

How long did this take for others to install?

    RD,
i was not able to get it going the first day ...
Basically, when I got error messages that made no sense, I would quickly reboot and I remember that doing so fixed something ...

Maybe try that and then load up GS anew, fire up your iphone and ipd and see if they "sync"?

Thanks for the help and encouragement guys. Rebooting seems to have helped. Hopefully I am almost there.

How have you guys enjoyed working with GS?

What games do you have on the App store currently?

    How have sales been?

    RD,
because many will (eventually) read this and give an opinion on their GS experience, I'll leave it up to them ...

My apps can be seen here: http://littlecomposers.com (right hand lower corner has app store links)

I hope you will enjoy making your first game with GS :)

Success! I've gotten my game onto my iPod and it looks like the controls could use some work.

Thanks for all of your help guys.

Xylo, I'll check out your apps. Working with GS has been a blast for me.
