I'm amazed at what I've learned in the past 6 months

last august/september I released an app that I was proud of, but never really went anywhere. I decided to pull it and tweak and release it under a different name as a break from the epic game I'm currently working on. when I looked back at the old code, I realized there was NO REASON why this couldn't be all in one scene with no spawns or destroys. I can't believe what I thought was good code even 6 months ago, which I thought was great code compared to my games from a year ago
I'm hoping to have this all merged into a single scene tomorrow, add some new features and resubmit it wednesday.
and this time I won't use 'freakin' in the game name, maybe apple will feature it this time

Performance off what I know now would run flawlessly & could probably make it much more TD like than what I "thought" I had to settle with. I think I will explore a Blighted Lands TD 2 at some point though. I really liked the concept, but I had so many compromises because I didn't know what I knew now.
Hey QS can I borrow that time machine of yours???
It was due back yesterday!

In addition, I would like to add that one needs to understand in a relative way what GS is and isn't and design a game around it. It isn't the tool for any kind of game but many great ones will come from it.
