Loss of sound FX during play

I have an issue on iPhone and iTouch only regarding sound FX. I can play a few levels and then for no reason I can see, all sound FX stop. Music will play no problem. Its like someone turned on the mute button during play?

Is there a way to force a reset of "what ever the process is" which controls the ogg sound files so they can play ok on level start.

I move between levels with the change scene command and do not preserve the state of the level.

    Anyone experience this? Seems to happen after switching scenes and you specify not to preserve them.

    It seems to be caused by too many actors having fx called at the same time. In the end I can each actor set a global var to indicate which fx to play and one actor per scene who looked for the flag triggers and played associated fx.
