Working on a new game - need feedback

Hi,
This is a new kids game that I started working on. Feedback and suggestions are appreciated...
The frame rate is actually very good, it is a bit slow due to the quicktime screen recording. Everything is recycled (clouds, letters, bullets..) and I guess kids will not notice the ship shadow over the hills...
Still to be done
- menu system
- letter "kill" sequence
- music and sound
Thanks for your comments!
Special thanks to POM for the Confetti.

I usually don't get to look at games but I really like your implementation of the shadow
Thanks for not shooting at cows!
Can you try and add shadows to the trees and houses (maybe leave the one of the space craft shooter of ... just for a test)
If you randomly animate the size of the green spheres (assuming they are not matte paintings), can achieve a little bit of a 3D look because the viewer is moving in and out of the landscape.
But the game looks great fun for the kids.
and frustratingly my mind must be running in a low gear as it took me forever to realize you were spelling out Chicken...
@xyloFUN the trees and letters used to have shadows, it was very cute but was too busy on the screen. Maybe on the iPad version.
@cbt I agree on the "chi cken" thing, the letters are aligned to the left so the bullet collision will not be in mid-air, but with the "I" is causes this gap. I need to find a low cost (memory) way to fix it...
Thanks again,
GR
I have some ideas that I'm implementing, this one was the early concept.
BTW - speed is mainly due to quicktime screen capture... it is makes my mac book pro 'slow... very slow'.
