Balls (pool) Table Help

Hi All,

I am trying out GS and need some help.

I am struggling to get a rule/settings etc where the actors (balls) behave like balls. I want it so that when they get hit by other balls, they move in the correct direction and then eventually come to a stand still.

Just need a pointer and should be able to get there myself (fingers crossed).

Cheers,

set collision shape 'round' in actor physics attributes (rather than square), and add a collide rule from basic behaviours to each ball. Then it is down to playing with the density, friction, and restitution (bounce).

I find the best resource to find solutions is to open GS and in the New+ area search for certain terms like in this case 'pool'. That will show a pool table template that you can double click to open on your machine. You can save it/edit it/check out the code logic etc. There are tons the good people here have put up to help.

    That's a pretty good number.

Thanks CodeMonkey/simo103, however I cannot download the code logic etc or download the template.

Is there a problem with what I could be doing, or a problem with this link etc?

See the description on the game for instruction on how to download it. Rename the downloaded .game file to a .zip. Unzip it.

I find it easier to find and then get the files if you do it right in GS. Search and then double click anything you find. It opens right on your computer and all you have to do is name and save. No unzipping etc.

I can't download this file. I click on the button that says "Download Project" and it takes me to a new window with a progress bar. Nothing happens. No popups, no progress (on the progress bar). Nothing.

    Any thoughts?
