Advertising For Your Game

Has anyone used paid advertising to promote your game? More specifically, has anyone paid for advertising space such as banners on other websites, google adwords, facebook ads, paid traffic to your website, etc.? If so, what are your experiences with it? Was it worth it?

I would NEVER use plaid ads as they cost a lot and the apps are cheap!

Many others have stated the same! Basically, you make a youtube video and hit facebook and above all, the app itself should have enough power to attract to some extend :)

yeah, I'm relying on facebook to get my app to sell, pretty much just gonna spam all my friends' live feed until I have like 500 sales :)

Ads don't necessarily cost a lot - it depends on where you advertise. Yes, you got Youtube, Facebook, etc but I specifically am interested in the results of other promotion such as paid advertising. There are quite a few game apps that use paid advertising. Just take a look at toucharcade.com, 148apps.com, Facebook and more (indeed, you can get decent priced advertising space on game app review sites). Anyone have experience with paid advertising?
