Hello everyone,

Does anyone know how to make a particle explosion?

I don't want to make LOADS of particle behaviours with all of them going a different way.

Cheers, Dragokillz

You could always make the explosion in an outside program such as Blender or Particle Illusion rather than using the GS particles.

could you rotate the actor as it emmits particles?

I am rotating the actor while the particles are emitted but this has only been partially successful so far.
If a lot of particles are emitted ten a spiral is created, like a water sprinkler. If the rotation speed is high or only a few particles are used then the explosion is uneven.

Maybe 4 or even 8 emitters are needed to create an even circular form of particles.

I just did some digging and got the info from the reference library.

The answer lies in Particles: Velocity/Position.

In direction you can set it to Random (0,359) and the particles ill be emitted in a rough circular fashion. Not great, but at least it's a start.
Also look at the Particle Setup Time in Spawn Rate. About 1 sec gives more of an even spread. Not much of an explosion!

I guess they need to let us choose different shapes of emitters.
