Ok i realize that if you want to create an iPhone game then you would think that i would have a Mac, but thats not the case. I don't really see why this should not be able to work with windows XP considering that iTunes does and that a lot of people have XP, your not really branching out. I mean I'm not going to go out and buy a $1600 computer just to be able to download a free software.

well that has nothing to do with gamesalad. Even if gamesalad ran on windows, you still need a mac to publish to the appstore. So it would be pointless to have a windows version.

d by no means do you need 1600 dollars. My girlsfreinds sister got a white macbook intel for 350 off ebay(which alot of people do) and since they live with me i use that sometimes on the fly and gamesalad works fine.

My personal desktop is a new mac mini for 700 with 100 put in to boost the ram to 8gb. And that does more then i need right now.

Check out ebay, youll be surprised. As long as its intel your good to go

Then go :) It's never likely to be released for PC due to technical reasons. I think its worth the money! Macs are just in a league of their own! :P

    Cheers.

you can try use hackintosh if you got a intel pc. or use corona SDK which can work with windows i think.

I think its more to do with the fact that when compiling the app, the apple SDK is needed (xcode). This will only run on OSX software, hence why gamesalad can't create apps on a windows system.

You could install OSX on a compatible intel PC though.

Hence the reason why we have choices...

Geesh! When I am on a Windows machine I don't go and whine how I don't have access to my Mac applications. It's just the way it has always been and probably will be for the near future.

Like John suggested, hit the boards and see if you can find something locally for a bit cheaper. No reason to buy net new.
