make a character move?

hi all, iam new to this, but i have being reading alot of post on this forun and watch a lot of tutorials, so i have learn things, but not how to make a person walk? do i have to draw all the position of moves that my character will make? and then import them to the program?

    ah ok iam being watching all those videos they are great and clear to understand,hope you upload some more, right now iam working in designing my game but when the time comes to make it work, i will contact you to help me with the animation set and animate the movement, if you can? offcourse i pay you, pretty much i understand a lot of how to use gamesalad thanks to you =), expect that part
