A thought about the forum postings

I spend a lot of my time making games with GS. And I like to read the forums as mini breaks while I'm working on the them.

I always pick up some new info, get a new idea for optimisation or just have a look at what games everyone else is making.

Generally the forums have a nice atmos - lots of helpful and friendly posts and replies. And often good humoured to.

There have been a few too many irritatingly childish ones lately which, for some reason, tend to get a lot of people arguing.

But if you look at them there are only maybe a couple of very young (12-14 year olds?) GS users who are saying silly things and getting lots of responses from more mature GS peeps.

So to the older people around here: why are you getting so upset and bothering to spend so much time arguing with a couple of teenagers who like to fight about nonsense?

Kindly just ignore anymore daft posts and they will probably soon dry up. Don't bother reacting to all the childish stuff.

On a different note, our first game is getting closer to being finished - I'm so positive about it! I think it's turning out really good and am sure it will do well on itunes. We have a good marketing strategy and are gonna blitz 100s of websites and magazines...I refuse to let it fail!

HI shaz .. great news on your game and I strongly agree with your post about ignoring certain posts. I am a little concerned however that an attack on someone else or sexist or homophobic posts like ones I have seen and responded to, if left unchallenged could be mis-interpreted as not offending or hurting anyone.

I have however made a decision not to post responses to general childish posts or ones that are directed at me personally and in those instances your are absolutely correct, the issue seems to die out very quickly.

Back onto better stuff .. please keep us posted on your launch and sales.
