What you could do though is put a link with the pro membership powers TO facebook, but you can't really "post" scores. But you can still say you have facebook

No problem. Here is the thing. The pro membership allows you to add links to your game, mainly to add links to your other games like" of you like this game, check out blah blah blah" and put a link to your game. thats it. There isn't a post to facebook behavior yet. but you could put a facebook "link" in your game. but you still can't post your score.

Okay the link to facebook will be posted on your facebook account then so people can see that you played it? I just want to use that as a marketing scheme.

I am confused now. hopefully we will be on the same page after this

What we have now= links. = You can't post scores, but you can GO to facebook.
so you can still say you have facebook

what we want.= once you have a score, you click the facebook button and it posts "i just got 100 on fruit ninja, then a picture of it. "

there IS a difference. but you can still say you have facebook

My hacking skills just found out a way to open up the facebook app, right to the "publish" screen, using a URL!!

Make the URL "fb://publish", and it will open the FB iPhone app, and the keyboard to put text in. Still working on how to get it to automatically share a link, pic, or just text automatically (kind of like what you can do with a "mailto:" link (where it can automatically have the subject, and body included when they click it).

I guess if you just wanted them to be able to email their scores, then you could do that, but maybe there's a way to utilize it for FB...hmm

You can also make the url "sms://32655".

That would open up their text app, with Facebooks default shortcode already there, ready for them to type and send. Still haven't figured out how to automatically put in the text though...

    Check out this thread. http://gamesalad.com/forums/topic.php?id=16021

The twitter thing actually works. not sure about Facebook.

If you download Crazy.Cupid you will see a "Tweet This" Link in the info page. I actually set the tweet this link to go to http://crazycupidtweet.appsoluteentertainment.com and the setup a forwarding subdomain with my web page so I can change the message it auto populates at a later time if I want without an update.

But again this is just a static message you cannot say do the twitter thing and have it call a game attribute to add to the post. But for any of the URL stuff you will need a pro membership.

Whoa. Can you figure a way to make a link open the facebook app and go to a facebook page? This is something I've been needing to do for a few projects. Not pass data (but that would be great), but open the app and go to a specific client fb page.

I've not seen the "fb://publish" before. Very interesting info.

Yes. Just figured it out. You make the URL "fb:/profile/PROFILE ID #"

For the profile ID number, it may take some hunting around your fanpage, and checking the url bar at the top when you click on things. I just tried with my fanpage and it worked PERFECTLY!!

Now you have a way for them to LIKE you on Facebook!! :) (LOVE MYSELF RIGHT NOW) haha!

I think if they have an iPhone, and FB...chances are they most likely have a FB app. If not, there are creative ways around it I'm sure. Will have to keep thinking and trying new things! :)

I would be sure to find your workaround. since some ppl may actually join facebook to like you. and I had a facebook page and an iphone and until about a month ago I didn't have facebook app. I'm not saying your stuff isn't cool cause it is. I bet GS didn't even know it would access those. Very nice work

You cant post scores but you could do achievments and such. You could also do levels or something. Ill mess around with the actual posting to facebook and then perhaps give the code away if i get it.
