knocking the head off actor

how would i be able to shoot an actor about 5 times on the 5th time his head falls off thanks

    ok i've managed to attach the head using this tutorial but how would i be able to knock the head off the body after say four hits,like the game plants vs zombies where the zombie head falls to the ground but the body still walks thanks

    I would suggest instead using three actors. The first is "person", body and head as one graphic. When your hit count equals 5, you destroy the actor and spawn the second two actors, "body" and "head."

    Your head actor can have an accelerationin any direction and the body could just fall with gravity or acceleration.

    ok i've tried that, but how would i stop the head once it has hit the ground,it just keeps on flying of the screen,i could just play an animation for the body after 5 hit play animation,then i could animate the body falling on the ground,well i hope i can do it that way,i kind of want the head to fall of the body and hit the ground and stay there and then just disappear.

    i think i've sorted it i just put the friction up to 100 on the head and it stays still,if there is a better way of doing this please let me know thanks

    make sure theres gravity in the room, make sure the body ss standing on a unmovable platform and make the head movable. so when it gets hit it falls sort of naturally on the ground.... u can send me ur project if you want and i'll have a look at it :/

    sorted finally,i created 2 real attributes target x and target y,on the target actor created 2 constrain attributes,1 change velocity, 1 timer with change attributes inside,then created a move to and rotate angle on the head pointing it towards the target which is connected to the body and it works perfect woo hoo the first time i've sorted something by myself i think that deserves a jack daniels or 2
