I am playing with this template right now, lol. I like the theme. and what I like about this template is, you can just replace the graphics with something nice and its already a great game. haha I like the amps. I play guitar so its kinda a cool thing to me DL
OK, I couldn't resist. I have a game just like this in my STEM videogame challenge game that I submitted a month ago. There are 6 days left in the competition.
BramHoskin said: BTW how'd you get it to swing smoothly? It was all choppy for me...
The swinging from the slider to the swinger was always pretty smooth, right from Joe's tech demo.
I did mess with some of the swinger settings.. Try setting the "max angle" from -270 to 90 That stopped it doing the mental swing around a few times before settling.
I have done a lot of little tweaks to make it fit with what I am doing though, I can't actually remember most of them myself.
As a side note.. I am not actually using Darren's template and simply re-skinning it (that would be no fun for me) I just took out how he did the camera and the actors that check for a fail, and a few other bits and bobs.

I am also working with the template and so far am finding it extremely easy, and useful!
Not really got any artwork (the background is from another game I am working on right now), and the crates are just objects as of now.
But taken ideas from the template, mashed it up with one of Joe's demos from ages ago, and have this running :
