How large are ads?

I plan to release my game in two formats. 1) pay $0.99 for the full version with NO ads. and 2) free version but with ads.

So, how large are the ads? When the ads spawn, do they "shift" the game up, or squeeze the game slightly smaller to fit the ad into the game? My game is in profile mode, so the height is really all I need.

the game does not get adjusted. The ad comes down over the game. If you preview the game, the GameSalad test iAd will pop up. Real iAd will be that size.

iAd banners appearing in portrait orientation will be displayed at 320×50, while in landscape mode, they will be 480×32.

They are displayed over whatever is in the location you choice to display. your option is top or bottom. so make sure you develop your game so the ads do not inhibit gameplay. like covering buttons or scores or such.

What do i need to do to get the ad in the game? Is there a spawn ad behavior?

You have to place a show iAd behavior in an actor in the scene and then choose top or bottom. it wont matter where the actor is placed it can even be off screen it will always display where you've selected.

You have a pro subscription correct?

If you log in, there should be a Pro behaviors section in the Behaviors area.
