Advice about creating platform game

Hi,
I downloaded GameSalad and imported the PlanetCute sprites. (http://lostgarden.com/2007/05/dancs-miraculously-flexible-game.html)
Now I'm trying to create a simple platformer and I created an actor containing a grass sprite. I would like to know if there is a way to lock/stick every instance of an actor to each other to make the creation process simpler. Because it's very hard to find the pixel exact position. Do you have also some good tips or advice about creating platform games?
P.S. GameSalad is now in beta: will it remain free?
Thanks in advance for any answers!

Take a look at http://gamesalad.com/wiki/scene_preview
specifically "Actors in the Scene Preview can be moved (either by dragging them around or using the arrow keys to shift them one pixel)"...
There is a platformer template which is a good starting place for a game.
