Do you think the new iPad will be awesome?

I know I want an iPad, but I keep hearing that the 2nd gen. iPad will instead be a refresh, and another one will come out later this fall. It is really unlike Apple to do something like that, but I dont know... I really dont want to buy a new one knowing that another one will come out later in the year.

Thoughts on the subject?

    I'm going to buy the new one streight after it's release. I strongly doubt that apple would release another iPad later on this year, they are only rumors. I don't think there is any point in waiting for newer versions because new stuff comes out all the time.

    This ipad will probably be a good one with cameras and hopefully retina screen... can't wait for the 2nd of march!

    iPad 2 is an instant buy for me. Apple surely will be working on iPad 3 like the rumours say but they will have been working on iPhone 5 before iPhone 4 hit stores. They are holding a keynote conference on Wednesday that they and the media have made a huge thing of, they only hold them if there are major overhauls and great new things added. I doubt whoever is taking over from Steve Jobs in his illness will go on stage in front of the media and developers and say 'here's the iPad 2... It's just the same but with a slightly better processor'. There will be big things I reckon.

    Around any Apple release, the rumours get crazy.

    You could always wait and watch the event and see if you start dribbling and want one? :)

    I just hope it ships out with HDMI or a 1 gig processor.

    Do I still think the last one is awesome .... yep!

    Am I gonna be allowed to buy it... nope...

    Can someone please come up with an excuse for me to buy one...an excuse that can counteract my wife saying well if we have that money spare we can finish decorating the bathroom, or start renovating the kitchen...

    Well, Canada seems to always lag a few months behind.
    I remember guys taking a trip to the US just to fetch one (last year).

    But because of the huge success the first generation had, there will be support for years to come :)
    That's good enough for me!

    I can't come up with an excuse but give you the "master plan" instead:

    1) create hit game to earn $400000 US
    2) decorate the bathroom
    3) renovate the kitchen
    4) buy a modified car that has an iPad built into the dashboard!
    5) sneak out to the garage and make sure you lock the doors ....

    does apple ever not follow suit look at 90% of there product names what they start with? they have released a new iphone every year right in the late summer so i guarantee that rumor is just that, a rumor and nothing to worry about.
