Ok, so since Yodapollo is obviously a bit busy to be judging the first 'Think outside the box' contest I figure a poll vote will have to do.

After a handful on entrants, just 2 remained standing at the end.

So please check out both games and vote for the one you feel is the best game. Both achieved some great stuff in 2 weeks.

CBT's intense game:

'Mind the gap'

It has'nt quite made it onto the App store yet but still eligible for judging.

The below video is a version the name changed back to 'Mind the gap'

I've sent stormystudio a PM but, I think now he won't be able to edit the first post.
Here is the latest video of the game (I changed music and intro back than because Infected Mushroom song had to be changed.)

it was close for me as both were very well done. I voted for Clay Moon in the end as the claymation was a new twist I hadn't seen and very well done. Mind the Gap (also well done) seemed to have a lot of cool adjustable features but a basic gameplay ... perhaps more levels (if cbt had more time) would have my vote the other way.

In any case well done to both of you .. may one of you 'wear' the 1st Think Outside the Box contest winners 'badge' with honor!

Sorry CBT, just got home and have seen your message. Tried to edit my original as it said I posted it 59 minutes ago....but it timed out by the time I pressed 'update'.

Someone with the powers of sous chef might be able to update the original to your more recent video.

    Cheers

... was in quotes .. so it's a virtual medal ... but who knows maybe a Think Outside the Box logo ribbon image might be cool to post on your website if you win ... and to quote in your itunes description. Voted #1 in ... etc

Clay Moon got my vote for that really captures the "Thinking Outside the Box' for me. CBT did an excellent job as well. Congrats to both of you!

I voted for Clay Moon since He actually thought outside the box, and came up with an entirely new kind of game, and Mind The Gap had already been created and didn't really have any new features. Don't get me wrong though Mind The Gap was very impressive just not anything "new".

Oh... @riffel great thinking outside the box... and physically building the actors in your game....great maneuverability on that ship!

@cbt... like the theme... like to play this type of game... and great job!

so for me riffel wins on interface and cbt wins on gameplay....

    Thanx for the competition Stomy!

Ok so after 4 days I think its safe to say we have a winner.

    CONGRATULATIONS
TO RIFFEL FOR YOUR GAME 'CLAY MOON'.

Massive congrats to CBT too for taking part and making a real contender of a game.

Good luck to both of you with game sales.

if you email me at jon_draper(@)yahoo.co.uk we can sort out me getting a video clip of your games to make the promo video prize for all entrants. (Which I'll try and fit in soon around my own game development).

If any of the other prize givers can do the same that would be great...
    ........

(Obviously there were only 2 contestants in the end, so some people may be reluctant in prize giving this time...but hopefully not).
