How to play effect when a player approaches an object?

Hi,
i have a game with this misure: 1440x960 and i want to play effect when a player approaches an object with fade in and fade out when actor go out and stop play effect when actor take object...it is possible with game salad? How to?

    Constrain an invisible actor to the sound area. When the player collides with the invisible actor have it play the sound.

    If you want it to fade you might try using the magnitude function to increase and decrease the volume based on how close to the center of the invisible actor the player is. You'd have to experiment with it.
