Game of the week?

I think GS should have a Game Of The Week or Game Of The Month thing just like corona does. I think it would be good for people to see some really cool and well done games made by GS. When I first saw GS, and saw the drag and drop with already made commands, I assumed it was very limiting and couldn't make anything besides maybe a simple platform game with a couple levels. With Game Of The Week or Game Of The Month people could see the truth!

    +1 to this idea. It will greatly benefits the gamesalad community coz of the quality of the games that will be showcase.

    Yeah, having a game if the week would be great! Being how there are 10 - 25 new GS games every week. Actually probably more because I bet a lot of them aren't posed about on the forums!

    think it is a great idea .. perhaps first discussion if it is to go ahead would be should it be week or month. IMO maybe it should be the monthly so that a good quantity of games would be in the running and the the winner would have good bragging rights.

    Yup would be great, GS really need to get on with becoming more involved with its community!

    i'd love to see it, but like most everything else, I'm afraid it would be dropped after about 2 weeks.

    I'm with you on that... Unless it was official, with the GS team involved and a dedicated page on the site or forum for it?

    Someone should open another thread and put all the games that were done this week into a poll:) but it might come down to who has the most accounts, meaning someone might cheat:(

    Maybe the vote could be 50% popular vote through the forum and 50% sous-chef vote. You could set up multiple member accounts but it is impossible to set up a sous chef account on your own. Sous-chefs with a game in the running would not vote.

    Just a thought.

    If we leave it up to the GS guys it probably wont last as they have a full plate as it is.

    need to think of how this is operated tho.
    should there be a new sub forum for app submissions etc?
    i will think that using a poll will be quite difficult to determine the app of the week. not all the people voting will have played all of the games.

    The problem is, anything like this that involves anyone from GS will fail. Why? Because the key to it will be communication and GS failed that! Plus, remember they attempted the 'What we're playing', well that didnt last long either.

    I think its a great idea and i wish GS had someone who would do this and stick to it. Not only is it like free promotion for that game, its also promoting GS and its also shows they have an interest into their communities games.

    Yeah, I think it will have to come from us. Maybe a sous-chef can make it a yellow sticky and moderate it.

    I know they are looking to hire a proper. Community manager over the next few weeks, so we'll see if that improves anything

    I think it should be game of the month, so they'd have more time to pick and it would be a really good one. Also the GS team should do it and make it on the homepage so new visitors who don't really know about the forum can see it. It can't take that long for them to make, just a 'game of the week' title and maybe the app thumbnail that you can click to take it to it's itunes page.

    It Will have Game Of The Week fettered in Home Page, You Will see older Game Of The Weeks (GOTW), also we will have featured Games, that will have the best games done by GS (Lets think who will decide this, but it would be co0l for Games published long time ago)
    Also will have some interesting news.
