aw i found it out and what is wrong with it, the line which will make one of the actors swing is behind the background or something i don't know how to change it unless someone can help

On scene, click layers and re-arrange... I think this is what you mean

nope that did not do it, i will need someone to look at it, if not i don't know

i need some help tshirtbooth especially

if the actor is really small the handle to rotate the actor is practically impossible to use. One thing you can do is double click on the actor and simple adjust the rotation over in the attributes on the left. Is that what you mean?
  • kirklandkirkland Removed Posts: 268
just one ragdoll yeah, and coudln't you use a constrain on it
  • kirklandkirkland Removed Posts: 268
    why not
  • kirklandkirkland Removed Posts: 268
but as you can see on the hanging and swinging demo there is 3 things constrained together, so it must be possible or can't it
  • kirklandkirkland Removed Posts: 268
what so you could do somthing like this http://www.freewebarcade.com/game/ragdoll-avalanche-2/
  • kirklandkirkland Removed Posts: 268
not even if you would add loads of constrains, but like you said the performance will kill yes

I'm working on something like this. PM me your email, and I'll send you an advance BETA template copy.

:-) this was a very entertaining read....

    Can I do this?
    Nope!
    So I can do it?
    Nope!
But I can do this right?
    nope!
Ok, but I can do it yes?
    Nope?
    errr. yes...
    AAAAAH!!! show me...

    :-)
  • AsymptoteellAsymptoteell Member Posts: 1,362
Just to be clear, this is NOT a full ragdoll template. It's used for connecting three objects hovever, and is still in BETA form. I think it could be altered to be used for this, but the constraints might not run well on a device, but I'm hopeful.

I'd personally like to see an improved physics engine. Box2d already has some GREAT features, but gamesalad needs to implement them. That's WAY above Gamecenter for me.
  • JohnPapiomitisJohnPapiomitis Member Posts: 6,256
yeah its just a matter of constraining them and moving the same incraments to make a "fake ragdoll" but like tshirts said like 20 times a true ragdoll with pivot joints isnt possible
  • AsymptoteellAsymptoteell Member Posts: 1,362
The way my template works, is it constrains an actor's X value relative to the two Y value distances using cosine.

    @stormystudio lol.
@Asymptoteell, that would be awesome if you could make something like that, as I'm also looking for a ragdoll type thing
@TSB can you please make a ragdoll for your next template?..
    he he just kidding.
  • mynameisacemynameisace Hull, UKMember Posts: 2,484
Why does everyone say it can't be done? It's easy, all you need to do is use the expression editor and type 'kirkland / (rag + doll)(persistence - no)'

As if nobody knew this... Amateurs

lol yes your missing the point. YOu CAN constrain many things to 1 actor yes. what im saying is you CANT make the limbs flop around like in ragdoll blaster. do all your body parts will be stiff and not flop.

    cheers

that is what i want so why hasn't someone made one then

Because it would KILL performance! It would not be usable in the game. At this point any type of ragdoll can't or should not be done in gs

Yeah, I'm with Kirkland. I think people should stop saying 'no, it's not possible' and just get on and make one ....
    ..
    .
    even though it's not possible.
