Please vote which scoring system sounds better and more interesting...
1) 30 levels. You must avoid the enemies and pick up 5 powerups in order to open the vault door.. Once the vault door is open, you have won the level and you go on to the next. You get scored depending on how fast you complete the level and is added to an overall score. You are given a "name" after each level based on your overall score to give the player an idea of how they are doing. For example: "Beginner Knight" if they are doing bad and "Crowned Knight" if they are doing good. If you run into an enemy, you must start the level over. Keep in mind that each time you run into an enemy and have to start over, you lose 100 points from the overall score. It is an incentive to die less. Once you complete the level, you cannot retry, it's on to the next. When the game is over, you are given an overall name based on overall score and shown where you stand of what you could have got.
2) Same thing as above but you are allowed to go back to the completed levels to get a better score. If you get a better score, you can potentially earn up to "3 stars" per level. Also, you are not penalized points for running into an enemy. Lastly, the overall score is not as important because the focus is getting a better score on each level, therefore no "overall name"

How about giving the player an option for either?
Sounds great though either way!
